  1. This distribution contains the following files:

  3.     WFTPD.EXE     - the executable program itself.
  4.     WFTPD.HLP     - the help file that goes with this program.
  5.    README.TXT     - that should be this file.
  6.  WFTPD211.TXT     - A file describing the features of WFTPD.
  7.   FILE_ID.DIZ     - Included at the suggestion of Hugo Voerman.
  8. [ CTL3DV2.DLL     - Microsoft's 3D control library - only needed for Win3.1x]

  10. IMPORTANT!!!  CTL3DV2.DLL must only go in your \WINDOWS or
  11. \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directories - anywhere else will result in a
  12. defective installation.  That means you should move it to that
  13. directory, and delete it from your main WFTPD directory.  If you
  14. have a more recent version in one of these directories, you may
  15. simply delete this one.  CTL3DV2.DLL is ONLY required for Windows
  16. 3.1x - Windows 95 and NT do NOT need this file - you may delete it.

  18. The WFTPD.HLP file is where all the documentation resides.  To
  19. run it without running WFTPD, use the standard Windows Help, and
  20. use File|Open to open this help file.  On most installations, you
  21. may simply use File|Run from Program Manager, and enter the path of
  22. the help file.  Please read the help file before running, and for
  23. the answers to most of the questions that have already been asked.

  25. Registration information and order forms are provided in the Help
  26. file - you may either print the form out using the File|Print Topic
  27. menu choice, or you may simply create your own form, as long as it
  28. includes all information requested on the official order form.

  31. SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED, OR YOUR ORDER WILL
  32. BE RETURNED TO YOU UNFULFILLED.

  35. There is no warranty, either express or implied, of the suitability of
  36. this product for any purpose whatever.  Support is not guaranteed, nor are
  37. updates to this program.

  39. This unregistered version is intended only for evaluation purposes.
  40. As such, it has a few restrictions which are worth noting:
  41.  
  42. 1. A maximum of 15 PASV mode transfers are allowed per run of WFTPD
  43. - the registered version accepts as many as you can feed it.
  44.  
  45. 2. A maximum of 5 file transfers (directory listings don't count)
  46. per login - to get another 5 transfers, simply log out and back in
  47. again.  Note that an MGET/MPUT may request several transfers at once.
  48. Again, the registered version has no such limit.
  49.  
  50. 3. The greeting and farewell messages are hard coded in the
  51. evaluation version - they're not quite as rude as they once were,
  52. though.  The registered version allows you to change and save both of
  53. these messages.
